Meet Semust, trusted by 12.000+ brands.

One Endpoint

lighthouse, audit and content are picked with the `type` parameter. One request shape, one authentication, one error format.

Results, Not a Raw Report

Instead of a raw Lighthouse report hundreds of kilobytes long, you get 0–100 scores, metrics in milliseconds and failed audits ranked by their savings.

Flat Price

$0.0055 per page for Lighthouse, $0.000165 for an SEO audit ($0.00165 with JavaScript rendering) and $0.000165 for content extraction.

What Can You Do with the On-Page API?

Measure page performance, technical SEO and content with the data.semust.com/v1/on-page endpoint.

lighthouse returns the performance, accessibility, best-practices and SEO scores, the Core Web Vitals and the failed audits. audit returns the page score, meta tags, headings, content measures, links, size, load time and the issues found. content extracts the page's main content as heading-and-text sections, or as Markdown on request. All three share one request shape and one authentication.

// One endpoint, three reports
POST /v1/on-page

{ "type": "lighthouse", "url": "https://www.example.com/", "device": "mobile" }
{ "type": "audit", "url": "https://www.example.com/", "javascript": true }
{ "type": "content", "url": "https://www.example.com/blog/", "markdown": true }

// Languages the audit titles can be returned in (free)
GET /v1/on-page/languages

What I appreciate most is how it handles many tasks that I used to perform manually with a single click, which makes my job significantly easier. Seeing how quickly it has evolved since the first time I used it also inspires confidence.

On-Page API Frequently Asked Questions

What Is an On-Page API and How Does It Work?

An On-Page API measures a page's speed, accessibility, technical SEO and content programmatically. Instead of opening a browser extension and auditing pages one by one, you send one HTTP request from your own application and get the result as structured JSON, ready to store, feed into your reports or run automatically after every deploy.

The Semust On-Page API runs on a single endpoint: in a POST request to data.semust.com/v1/on-page, the type parameter picks one of three reports — lighthouse, audit or content. Authentication is header-based and every response is JSON.

Why Lighthouse Scores Matter

Lighthouse scores a page's performance, accessibility, adherence to best practices and basic SEO requirements on one scale. Those scores show how quickly and smoothly a page opens for its visitors; slow, shifting pages lose visitors and can hurt search performance.

Measure the scores through the API on a schedule and you see the moment a change breaks performance. Failed audits come with their estimated savings, so your team can start with the work that pays off most.

Core Web Vitals Metrics

Core Web Vitals are the core metrics of page experience. Largest Contentful Paint shows when the largest content appears, Cumulative Layout Shift how much the page moves while it loads, and Total Blocking Time how long the main thread is locked.

The lighthouse report returns these alongside First Contentful Paint, Speed Index and Time to Interactive, each in its own field, with durations in milliseconds. You can wire them straight into your own dashboards and alerts.

On-Page API Pricing

Pricing is flat per page: lighthouse $0.0055, audit $0.000165, audit of a JavaScript-rendered page $0.00165, and content $0.000165. The price does not change with the device, categories or language you choose.

An identical request is answered from cache for 15 minutes and costs the same as the live call; that window is short enough not to get in the way of re-measuring after a fix. Blocked or unreachable pages, and every other error, are never charged.

Single-Page Technical SEO Audit

The audit report sums up how a page looks to search engines in one request: HTTP status, title and description lengths, canonical URL, the number of H1s and other headings, word count and readability, internal and external link counts, images, scripts, stylesheets, page size and load time.

The issues found come in a list of their own, so you see directly what needs fixing on a page. It is ideal for checking newly published pages, or the pages a template change touched.

Content Extraction and Markdown

The content report separates a page's main content from repeated areas such as menus, footers and sidebars. The content comes as sections of heading level, heading and text, with any email addresses and phone numbers on the page listed separately.

markdown: true also returns the same content as Markdown. That gives clean input for competitor content analysis, content-gap work, summarisation and workflows built on large language models.

Blocked Pages and Honest Results

When bot protection blocks an automated audit, many tools measure the block page instead of the real one and produce misleading scores. The On-Page API does not: when a site refuses the request you get PAGE_BLOCKED, when the page cannot be loaded PAGE_UNAVAILABLE, and neither is charged.

Errors carry a fixed code, a readable message and a hint; send Accept-Language: tr to get messages in Turkish. Your automation never mistakes a failed measurement for a real result.

On-Page API Integration

All you need is the API username and password you create on the API Access page of your account and send in the SEMUST-API-USER and SEMUST-API-PASSWORD headers. Requests are standard HTTP POSTs and responses are JSON. A misspelled parameter is named in the error, with a suggestion.

Requests run as tasks. A request that takes longer than 60 seconds returns a 202 with a task_id, and you collect the result from GET /v1/tasks/{task_id}. Results are kept for 72 hours after the task finishes. Send an Idempotency-Key to retry safely after a timeout: the same key returns the same task and is charged once.
