Google Ads MCP

Connect your Google Ads accounts to Claude and Cursor. Query campaign performance, search term reports, quality score and conversion data in plain English.

Start talking to your Google Ads data

The Google Ads UI adds a layer every release. A PPC specialist has to move between tabs, filters and column pickers to answer a simple question. Repeating the same query across ten clients tanks an agency's weekly output.

Semust Google Ads MCP removes that friction. In the Claude or Cursor chat you type "find campaigns with the lowest ROAS this week and suggest a budget change" or "pull negative keyword candidates from the last two weeks of search terms". The MCP server hits the Google Ads API, runs the query and returns a ready table.

Reports covered

Semust Google Ads MCP packages the reports PPC teams run daily as ready queries.

Campaign performance report

Clicks, impressions, conversions, spend, CPA and ROAS per campaign, compared across periods.

Ad group report

Ad group level performance breakdown that ranks low ROAS groups by priority.

Keyword report

Position, clicks, conversions and quality score per keyword.

Search terms report

Newly matched search terms with impressions and conversions, plus a negative keyword suggestion list.

Quality score report

Flags low quality score keywords and splits expected CTR, ad relevance and landing page experience.

Ad copy performance

Pinning status of Responsive Search Ad headlines and descriptions, asset performance and rewrite suggestions.

Conversion report

Breakdown by conversion type, conversion delay and conversion path.

Not just reports, action recommendations

Semust Google Ads MCP does not stop at raw data. The same prompt returns action recommendations too.

Negative keyword suggestions

Extracts off-topic matched queries from the search terms report and drafts a negative keyword list.

Budget alerts and pacing

Flags campaigns approaching budget mid-month and suggests reallocations.

Search term discovery

Filters new potential search terms in low converting campaigns by impressions and CTR.

RSA copy rewrites

Surfaces underperforming ad copy and suggests headline and description rewrites.

Low quality score remediation

Splits keywords with quality score under eight by weak component and lists the priority fix.

Install in three steps

1

Create a project and connect Google Ads

Create a project in Semust and connect your Google Ads account under Integrations. For agencies, connecting your MCC covers every client account under it.

2

Get your MCP API key

Open Account Settings in the Semust panel and copy your MCP API key.

3

Add the MCP and start querying

Add the Semust MCP server to Claude Desktop or Cursor with your API key. After a restart the Google Ads MCP tools are available in Claude — start with "list every connected Google Ads account".

Prompt library

Copy a prompt into Claude and get an answer back as a ready table.

>List the ten lowest ROAS campaigns this week and recommend a budget change.
>Extract negative keyword candidates from the last fourteen days of search terms.
>Rank keywords with quality score six or below by their weakest component.
>How did conversion volume across my MCC move month over month?
>Rank asset performance in my Performance Max campaigns and flag underperforming images and videos.
>Report the CTR contribution of pinned headlines in my RSAs.
>Predict which campaigns will hit their monthly budget cap.
>Find the highest converting time slots across device and hour.

Pair with the Ads Report Builder

When you need to share the insights with a client, the Semust Google Ads Report Builder takes over. It turns the MCP output into a white label PDF or a web dashboard with one click.

In an agency workflow you build the month-end deck with the MCP and ship it with the Report Builder. Chat, analysis and delivery live in the same platform.

I first came across Semust on LinkedIn, back when it was just starting to gain attention. Curious, I decided to give it a try—and it’s now become one of my favorite tools. What I appreciate most is how it handles many tasks that I used to perform manually with a single click, which makes my job significantly easier.
